Exhibition Layout

It was awkward. :? The only way to do it was to stick (get it? stick? tree?
no? sorry) the tree into the base & attach a small piece of foam underneath
the 'ground' with a dob of hot glue to hold it all in place. OUCH!!!
Caution.. It's not called hot glue for nothin!

You're not wrong! Yes, yes, we get it...   It's probably the best way you could do it, short of sticking say more MDF or even styrene underneath an area of trees to fasten to.

 Found out just how hot hot glue is? :P

Oh, and I've also uploaded photos from the 1st ever Running Session for the MMRC, very generously held by Tony on his tentatively called "Red River" layout...

There's also a short run by of Y131 on a mixed freight on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/v/sjiZ6b_awh4

Hi all

Nice looking layout, looks like a lot of shunting around can be done. Ideal for little locos.
Sorry coudn't make the running day, but other things got in the way. Hope you guys had a good day

It was a pretty good day, actually, lots of running packed in, and a big thanks to the generous hosts! :D

But that's right, plenty of opportunity for shunting. Although, my H and two Y's have never shunted so fast in their lives!

That person knows who I'm talking about... :P

Me thinks if those Y's went any faster up the ramp and didn't stop, they
would've landed in Geelong!!!!!!

Geelong? Any faster and they would've been in orbit!

I should've shunted together a heavier train before I handed the control over to a certain other person...

I'm just waiting to see if they'll fess up! :P
