Well back from sydney and all Double Deck EMU'd out with no sleep on the XPT and no sleep the night before my flight back (2 periods of 40+ hours awake) i brought a Carraige at the Epping (sydney) model rail show for $15

My trip to sydney wasnt to bad apart form the guy next to me who snored then as i was dozing off at goulburn got a can of coke and slurped it to piction at 4 am! nearly getting into a fight with the guard about taking a picture of his train as he left loftus station swore at me so awaited his return and IIRC the train was stationary for 5 - 6 minutes while we had a go at each other (hope he fell out of the door leaving redfern) apart from that was a great Break!

i been back for about 2 days now and the new carrage is already in Admet colours and if i find another at a resonable price i will make it a 2 car set and will retire my Admet Converted Passenger Vehicle (ACPV) and swap the motor over (when i find how to bloody open the new car). hopefully this weekend both the new car and the ACPV will be fitted with New Kadee Number 5 Couplers

also i have decided to make new fronts to the train using the balsa left over from the old roads and some reflective tape i have lying around due to the Expensive "b class tram" fronts they had Up to $20 each!

Image
Currently only a mock up of what the real front will look like (held on by blue tack for the pic) the yellow front is reflective the logo will be removed.. i dont like it there :P

Image
the "foundations" for my road to stop the road sloping away from the tram tack i have placed these "match sticks" there to keep the road even with the tracks (the road you see there was the 1st one... painted on the table) that portion of the grass is covered by the road
Regards

Ouch, that's just too long to be awake for!

Looks like a fair bit of civil engineering going on in the car park, too! :)

after a pretty rough week and spending about 3 hours staring at my layout i ripped up my double track section of my tramway and as of tonight the road has been re balsa'd and instead of trams running on a reserve they now run on the street again photos will follow when someone picks himself up off the floor
