I Decided to Take a few pics of my layout. I must say this Layout has been a Real big learning curve (Yes Craig's C Class could get around it Easy! )
Been able to experiment with materials to see which works and which doesnt

My layout isn't modeled on anywhere in particular. it is about 4m long and about a Metre wide. It Consists of a tram line (70% is double track soon to be 100% double track) with 3 tram stops. Being the 2 terminuses (Surrey Hills and Molesworth) and another stop in the middle (Albion park / Riddles lane). The Layout Also has a single (soon to be double) heavy rail line with a Siding which Crosses the tram line... Both the tram and heavy rail line are operated via one DC Power mite Controller but both tracks are isolated from each other (meaning the tram can go without the heavy rail vehicles moving with it)
The Heavy rail at the moment is a Passenger service with stations serving Moleswoth and Surrey Hills, The siding is located at the Molesworth end and also has a Docking Platform

My latest project is returning signals to the heavy rail section (which includes installing the LED type Lights) Which has seen Several LED's Blow and One Splt in half cause somoene forgot to place a resistor in the circut

My Working "vehicles" are a Converted Passenger car which i have painted in Admet colours (engine stolen form a Lima loco) there sis still alot of work to go including new "fronts" for her, and a Tram With a rather dodgey looking panto Also taken from the Lima Loco and a Union Pacific Loco (kinda looks like a C Class). i have 2 SW6 Trams which are both unpowered, My Overhead is Minor detail which is just white cotton, (must buy black)

this layout is nowhere near Complete but is getting there
A Diagram is included

Looking good! :D I like the whole overhead idea, certainly something you don't normally see on layouts. And the heavy/light rail interaction is a great idea! :D

I likey a lot! :)

And that is one insanely bright signal!

I love playing Mr Connex :D
Due to a point failure (last derailment really Stuffed it) Train movements to the Docking platform have been suspended until a new right hand point (or curve) is sourced. the ACPV is been stabled at the Surrey Hills platform, Services to Surrey Hills are terminating short at Molesworth Due to the ACPV occupying the block. Passengers are been Tramed to Surrey Hills

Well Emergency trackwork Commenced today, there is now a left point in use which was leftover from when the system bacame 1 track, so from Surrey Hills to get to the main line the train is sent to the left to get to the main line and is sent straight to acsess the Docking platform... the track to the docking platform is now able to be taken at speed due to the removal of the sharp bend near the road, which now has a "lighter" bend, the bad thing about it is one of the "weld's" was unsucsessful and currently has a 1 notch restriction on it

Buses Replaced the Trains
