MMRC Extraordinary Meeting - #14 @ Ruby's

Postby wolfpac on Sun Aug 31, 2008 9:21 pm

Hi all,

Well after a rather productive meeting and eventually an outing with two of the Shire of Melton's representatives from the Leisure Services department, along with our esteemed Treasurer and myself, we're finally moving along big time with our long search for a home.

We're basically down to two serious options, with a vote on pursuing a preferred option of the former Tennis Club at Blackwood Drv, Melton South. At this stage, this will be the option the club has decided to follow, as it allows unrestricted access to the building, with the possibility of using the adjacent Guide Hall as required.

The other possible option is/was the Darlingsford Barn, while a brilliant option, and immaculate inside and out, we feel that the times available may be too restrictive for the club to operate effectively.

Please, don't hesitate to give feedback and let us know your feeling on this.

G'day everyone,....

To be honest from what I have read and all the first option sounds like the way to go as the other has the restriction of times etc,...

It dose'nt look like there's a choise realy just option 1.

Sorry I missed the last meeting,....
The universe conspired against me again,....

It'd be great to get into Darlingsford Barn, but the whole sharing thing, and very restricted times helped sway the general consensus towards the former Tennis Club pavilion. And the barn is more expensive than the former tennis club.

Plus, how can you beat exclusive use... :)

We're getting there, a home will be ours, oh yes, it will be ours!

All good, we should have a good meeting on the 13-9-08! :D

G'day everyone,....

Yep exclusive use should be the goal here,..
And the fact that unlimited access should seal the deal,..
Cheaper is always a driveing force,..
As long as what you get is'nt on the cheap!

It certainly all worked in it's favor. And if we can save a couple of dollars here and there, it's even better. :D

Not at all, we're getting looked after a little here...
