MMRC Meeting #8 - 7/6/08

For all the Melton model railway club news

Ararat would be good too, although, price might be an issue?

Any idea what it would cost to go to Ararat from Melton, or even the city?

That's not too bad then, I suppose, considering it's like a 2hr 1 way trip...

Melton is the end of zone 2 isn't it? And Bacchus is VLP territory?

The Marsh is in Zone 2 BUT The Metcard Boundary is Melton

so if you went from Melton - The Marsh you would pay the same price as a 2 hour zone 2 ticket and IIRC you get all day use on Baccus Marsh Town Service

Thats what i love about this new ticketing thing V line did, I Pay for lets say a return ticket to Geelong i get....
    My return train trip
"Free" travel on the GTS (Geelong Transit System) if you break your journey at geelong on the train i think you can use The GTS Trains (Geelong- Marshall)
    "Free" Zone 1&2 Daily Metcard

I dont blame you not using the buses in melton

Last night i got on the 456 at albion going home i thought i boarded one of those party buses. the music was blairing (which i didnt mind it was good stuff) and Drunks! as far as the eye could see! then some Feral decides to let flares off at my stop me and the driver decided its not a good idea to get off there so he took me around the block home :D

I don't think anyone actually uses the buses in Melton any more! They're almost always empty, or have like a single pensioner in the first seat.

Didn't know the Yobbo Venga Bus was running, must be a new timetable! :P  At least he was nice enough to look out for you. That's certainly rare...
