I've just got back from a meeting with the Sunshine MRC, regarding their Model Railway Show in August.

Basically, MMRC and the SMRC would both like to know if there's anyone who'd like to lend a hand over the course of the exhibition, setting up Friday evening before the show, turning up on the day to relieve exhibitors for breaks, etc.

Also, SMRC runs a get together on the Saturday night of the exhibition weekend, with a huge raffle, and a huge roast dinner!

We'd like to get numbers early, so we can work out rostering and catering for the exhibition.

The exhibition is on August 8 and 9, 2008.

Hi Guys,

I'll be there but I'm wearing my Sunshine hat rather than my Melton Hat. FYI the "Newry" layout is nearly back together bar track testing and that should be overcome soon.

We really need to show that we can work in well with other clubs... it is an aspect of being the new kids on the block we could do without but there it goes. We have good bona fids with Sunshine now... let's see if we can build on it!

Even if you could spare 3-4 hours an man a controller, sell tickets at the door, help set up or just field questions, it is going to be valuable!

I actually forgot to ask the guys last night, but we'll (MMRC) will be having an actual official presence at the show then, correct?

Better make sure before I wander in with my MMRC name badge on!

I'll start getting some membership forms, flyers, business/info cards and newsletters ready then, also. More so if we'll have a proper table there...
