U wanna tell us where to go?

For all the Melton model railway club news

U wanna tell us where to go?

G'day everyone,....

I just thought this would be a good place to suggest trips or outings we could do or take. (feild trips!)

To start with on the wendsday last I went on the Colonial tram at night for a tour and dinner.
It was a great trip with family visiting from the UK.
I mentioned this tram dinner tour thing to a mate at work who told me he had just been on a 'Night trip' on Puffing Billy!
But the train go's down a side line that the public don't get to go on and it go's to a shed that is set up for dinner,....
You get a tour of the steam sheds and equipment and then a slow ride back so you can see the city lights and it was I was told only $60.00 per head.

I thoght this would be a good trip we could do if anyone is interested,...might have to see about it.

G'day everyone,....

From what I was told the food was realy good,...
The whole night is done by Volunteers so thats why the cost is low.

Don't know if its a fixed menu or if you get a choise but sounds interesting.

Some good ideas, there! :D

The food on Puffing Billy is great, certainly great on the G42 hauled lunch trains! :)

Wouldn't mind doing a night trip, would be something different. I wonder if we could get G42 to haul it...? :D
